Her primary therapeutic approaches include neurodiversity-affirming therapy, EMDR therapy, DBT, and Schema Therapy. Supervision and Consultation hours can count towards EMDR Therapy accreditation, as well as requirements for provisional psychologists, registrars, fully registered psychologists, social workers, and counsellors.

  • The Diversity Clinic regularly runs either 5-week or 10-week Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) group programs for both adolescents and adults. We welcome individuals with or without a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder. Run by trained psychologists, we incorporate evidence-based strategies tailored to individual needs. The program alternates between running on-site in Wollongong NSW and online. If interested, please reach out to enquire about our next start date.

  • Adolescence and early adulthood can be a challenging time. It brings big life changes that can feel exciting and overwhelming.

    The science in brief
During adolescence the brain is changing rapidly. The amygdala, which drives strong emotions, impulses and threat responses, becomes more active. The prefrontal cortex, which helps with planning, impulse control and weighing consequences, is still maturing into the mid to late 20s. As a result, young people can experience intense emotional reactions and not always understand why.

The Diversity Clinic can support young people who are struggling with things like: peer conflict or exclusion, loneliness, stress, managing school and work, low mood or worthlessness, self-harm or suicidal thoughts, body image concerns, social anxiety, questions about identity or sexuality, anger outbursts, frequent upset or crying, experiencing or using violence, bullying, substance use, or withdrawing from others.

If you are finding things hard, please reach out to us or someone you trust and ask them to contact us. We can work with you to understand what is happening and find practical ways to manage emotions, improve relationships and build resilience.

  • At The Diversity Clinic, we are dedicated to providing compassionate, gender-affirming care through WPATH assessments that follow the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) Standards of Care. Our collaborative approach honours your unique experiences, prioritising informed consent and autonomy as we support access to medical affirmation procedures, such as hormone replacement therapy, affirming surgeries, and other medical interventions. We celebrate the diversity of gender identities and create a safe, affirming space for transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse individuals. Wherever you are on your journey, we are here to support you every step of the way.

  • The Diversity Clinic conducts comprehensive neuroaffirming ADHD, autism, cognitive, and functional assessments for children (ages 3+) and adults. Our assessments span multiple testing sessions, including a feedback session, and a detailed report. Psychological assessments involve the collecting and analysing of information relating to individuals’ behaviours, abilities and characteristics. This aims to target the diverse needs of clients, ruling out possible diagnosis, establishing possible diagnosis and using this as a tool to tailor therapy needs. Assessments can be conducted in Wollongong NSW or remotely via telehealth. To learn more, click on the boxes above or reach out to our wonderful admin team.

  • Intensives involve multiple therapy sessions held close together, either in one sitting or within the same week, depending on your preference and availability. This approach allows for deeper, more in-depth processing, which can be especially helpful in trauma therapy and other areas where focus and continuity are important. Many people find that intensives help build momentum, reduce delays in progress, and create space for more concentrated support.

The Diversity Clinic offers intensives as an option alongside standard sessions. If you’d like to explore whether an intensive might be right for you, please get in touch with us to discuss your needs.

    Borderline Personality Disorder

Living with BPD can mean feeling emotions and relationships more intensely. While this sensitivity can be challenging, it also brings empathy, creativity, and passion.

At The Diversity Clinic, we see BPD as a different way of experiencing the world - not as being “too much.” With the right support, these traits can be powerful strengths. Our clinicians use evidence-based therapies, including DBT, to help you find balance, deepen self-understanding, and build fulfilling connections.

    Trauma and Complex Trauma

Healing from trauma is not about erasing your past, but about reclaiming safety, strength, and hope. Our team has extensive training in both PTSD and C-PTSD, using evidence-based therapies delivered with compassion and respect. Whether you’ve experienced a single event or ongoing adversity, we provide care that is validating, client-led, and grounded in clinical knowledge.

    LGBTQIA+ Health

The Diversity Clinic is proud to be one of the few practices in Australia with a dedicated focus on LGBTQIA+ wellbeing. Research shows LGBTQIA+ people are more likely to experience anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicidality. These outcomes are not about identity - they reflect the impact of stigma and discrimination.

Our clinic is committed to changing that story. We provide affirming, research-backed care that helps LGBTQIA+ people thrive. We proudly welcome and affirm people of all genders, sexualities, and identities, and offer a space where you are seen, celebrated, and supported.

Our DBT groups run for 5 or 10 weeks and are open to both adolescents and adults.

    DBT teaches skills in:

    Mindfulness

    Distress tolerance

    Emotional regulation

    Building stronger relationships

DBT is one of the most well-researched approaches for emotional wellbeing and reducing harmful behaviours. At The Diversity Clinic, we deliver it in a way that is structured, accessible, and supportive. Medicare rebates may apply.

Neuroaffirming Assessments: ADHD, Cognitive, and Functional

ADHD and other cognitive differences can affect focus, memory, planning, and energy - but they can also come with creativity, energy, and problem-solving strengths. Assessments can help identify what supports will help you thrive.

At The Diversity Clinic, we provide ADHD, cognitive, and functional assessments tailored to each client’s needs. These involve interviews, questionnaires, and formal testing, usually across 3-4 sessions, with a feedback session and detailed report at the end.

Our reports can be used for NDIS applications, workplace or study accommodations, funding, or personal understanding. For children under 6, we provide modified ADHD assessments that reflect developmental needs.

ADHD assessments are available for children (3+) and adults, with fees paid in instalments to increase accessibility. Cognitive and functional assessments are similarly flexible and designed to highlight strengths as well as areas for support.

    Neuroaffirming Autism Assessments

Autism is a form of neurodivergence that can shape how people experience the world, from communication and relationships to sensory processing and learning. Many autistic people describe both challenges and unique strengths in how they think and connect.

At The Diversity Clinic, our autism assessments are neuroaffirming, person-centred, and free from stigma. We recognise that every autistic person is different, and our goal is to understand your individual profile of strengths and needs.

Our assessment process includes interviews, observations, and evidence-based tools, usually across 3-4 sessions, followed by a feedback session and comprehensive written report. Reports can support access to NDIS, study or workplace accommodations, funding, and personal growth.

We provide autism assessments for both children (ages 3+) and adults, with adapted processes for younger children. Where possible, Medicare rebates may apply for clients under 25 with appropriate referrals.

    Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy

We are proud to be at the forefront of neurodiversity-affirming care. Our therapy is designed to help autistic and ADHD clients reduce masking, manage sensory needs, and strengthen self-advocacy and self-acceptance.

We don’t believe in “fixing” neurodivergence. We believe in helping clients build lives that fit who they are.
